Click here for our Facebook video about considering your crown!

As the hub of four senses (sight, sound, smell, and taste), speech, and a myriad of facial expressions, our heads are a hive of communication and activity. So it’s no wonder that the head is the single most observed part of the human body. It also happens to be pretty heavy, comprising some 8 to 12 pounds. For these reasons, bringing consciousness to how you hold your head has healthy and beautiful benefits.

Ballet dancers carry their heads in a supported way that exudes poise and confidence. It’s all about posture! Good posture extends up from the base of the spine right out the top of the head… Of course it also helps to wear a beautiful tiara! But even minus the jewels, walking around sporting an imaginary crown instantly engages the neck muscles to create length and support that look and feel gorgeous.

So here’s what you can do to consider your crown and heighten your elegance:

Exercise 1

- Stand comfortably on 2 feet.

- Release your shoulders away from the ears and take 3 breaths, maintaining the work of the core and the crown of the head.

- Release and repeat 3 more times.
